Today marked the final day of our trek. After finishing breakfast, we set out around 9 AM. Though the trail didn’t involve many ups and downs, we had a significant distance of approximately 14 kilometers to cover. About 30 minutes into the walk, we spotted Mudh village in the far distance. The trail featured narrow, muddy patches that required careful navigation, along with several streams we had to cross.

The landscape remained fairly consistent, making it a long, steady walk. We finally reached Mudh around 1:15 PM. Toward the end, we crossed the Pin River on a swinging bridge, suspended by nothing more than strings, adding a touch of thrill to the finish. After arriving, I took a much-needed break, had lunch, and dipped my feet into the cold, flowing water to recover from the long and tiring journey.

Once the rest of the trekkers arrived, we boarded the tempo traveller and headed toward Kaza for the night. The journey was on narrow, winding roads that weren’t tarred, making the drive an adventure in itself. After about two hours, we reached Kaza. We first tried to find accommodation at Zostel, but it was fully booked. After checking a couple more places, we finally found a spot to spend the night.

After settling into the room, we freshened up and headed out to the market to grab some food. On our way back, we attempted a shortcut but ended up losing our way. Although we could see our hotel, we struggled to find a path back to it. After asking a couple of locals, we finally made it back to the hotel.

The evening was well-spent with the group, chatting, getting to know each other better, and even having a bit of a jam session. That marked the official end of our trek. The next day, we explored Kaza before heading to Manali by cab. From there, a few of us continued together to Delhi, where I eventually caught a flight back to Bangalore, while the others went their separate ways.
